STUDIO POLICIES AND INFORMATION

REGISTRATION FEE

A $25 registration fee per student is required with the registration form to reserve class space. A registration is not considered complete nor is a class space reserved until this fee is received. A student information/emergency card and insurance waiver is required to be filled out at registration. Registration is non-refundable.

INSURANCE

Dance Extraordinaire (DE) does not carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all students be covered by their own family insurance policies. If injury occurs, it is understood the student’s own policy shall be the only source of reimbursement. DE is not and shall not be responsible for any injury received by any student while attending class or to any person while on the premises of DE.

CLASS TUITION

Regardless of absences, tuition is the same each month whether it is a long ( 5 week) or a short (3 week) month. Monthly tuition muse be paid in advance, due by the first class of each month. There will be a $10 per month late fee, which will automatically be assessed on the 10th of each month.  Studio personnel will attempt to collect tuition if it becomes more than one month past due. Failure to pay will result in you or your child being prohibited from attending class.

Tuition payments are not refundable and are not discounted for missed classes, holidays, or classes canceled due to inclement weather.

If there is any balance due by the time of dress rehearsal, students will not be permitted to perform the recital. If a student drops from a class, the studio MUST be informed, or you will continue to be billed for the entire month of the last class attended, whether he/ she attended only one or four classes that month. If tuition is still unpaid, the entire month will be assigned to a collection agency. Statements will be sent out on the 10th of each month, for the following month’s tuition.

DISOUNTS

Students will receive a $5 discount for taking a second class, and a $10 discount for the third class. This also applies to family members.

10% discount on tuition for the entire year if all classes per family are paid in full on or before October 1st.

ATTENDANCE

Good attendance is imperative! Please make every effort to attend every class. Absences are tardiness can hold back an entire class. If more than two classes are missed in a row for any reason, we request that you schedule a private lesson with your instructor to get caught up. Private lessons are $30 for thirty minutes.

CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE

Please be sure your children use the restroom before class begins.  Please make sure your children use deodorant and proper hygiene while in class. All students are to conduct themselves properly before during and after classes. Parents are not allowed in the class rooms during class. We will have Open House in the month of December, where parents will be able to observe an entire class. If you have any questions or concerns about a class, please contact your teacher or Gwen immediately.

CLASS SIZE

In order to guarantee a class will run, DE requires a minimum of 5 students per class. If these minimums are not met, it is possible that the class will be combined with one of equal ability or be closed. DE will make every effort to make sure everyone has an appropriate placement. All classes have a maximum class size, which will vary from class to class depending on the instructor, age and the type of class. A waiting list will be kept for full classes. Students will be notified when spots become available based upon a first come first serve basis.

COSTUME FEES

Approximate costume cost will run between $65 and $100 each. DE will work to keep cost down. A $50 non-refundable deposit (per class) will be due the first of the week of October. All Costume balances will be due the first week of January. If a child drops a class prior to recital, the costume cost will not be refunded. If you do not pay a deposit, no costume will be ordered for you.

RECITAL

The spring recital is scheduled during the last week of May, or the first week of June. More information will be sent out as it becomes available. All students will participate in recital.

HOLIDAYS
